Megan Duke

Head of School

Megan has been married to Zach for 14 years and together they have 5 beautiful children with one on the way! In 2020, Zach and Megan founded the Indiana Leadership Academy out of a love to see the community and families transformed and empowered for the glory of God. The Duke family has long roots in this community and a deep desire to see it flourish for generations to come.

Megan received a full-ride scholarship to Liberty University and served on it’s premier ministry team for 4 years. Along with being the Head of School at ILA, she is also a Christian music recording artist and worship leader. Megan is especially passionate about making disciples and helping people walk in their true identity in Christ! One of her favorite verses is Galatians 6:9- “And let us not grow weary of doing good, for in due season we will reap, if we do not give up!”

 

Kim Long

Pre-K Tutor

Kim has a Psychology degree from the University of New Hampshire and has worked with children of all ages. She has been married to her husband Travis for 18 years and they have 3 beautiful daughters. In her free time she loves to camp with her family and spend time outdoors. She is excited to partner with ILA in their mission and share Christ’s love with the littlest Legends.

Arika Tackett

Kindergarten Tutor

Arika has been married to Kevin for 8 years and together they have 2 beautiful kids, Rorie (6) and River (4). They moved back to Indianapolis a couple years ago after living in Tennessee for 5 years. She studied Kinesiology at Anderson University and has a passion to work with children. Arika believes that ILA offers her children opportunities that her family has been unable to find anywhere else in Indianapolis. This will be her first year apart of the Indiana Leadership Academy staff, teaching kindergarten. Arika feels honored to shine Christ’s light in the classroom and guide her students with love and purpose. She can’t wait to meet her new students this coming year!

Ashley Eads

Kindergarten Tutor

Ashley is married to Zach and together they are raising their 3 beautiful children, Grayson, Charlotte, and Palmer.  Ashley moved to Indianapolis in 2017 and is originally from Chesapeake, VA. She has a background in early childhood education and human resources.

She is active in her church in Franklin, where she volunteers her time in the children’s ministry. Ashley is an active member of Tri Kappa where she enjoys contributing to local charitable and educational initiatives.

In her free time, Ashley enjoys spending time with her family, traveling, golfing and cooking. She values faith, family and creating meaningful connections while making a positive impact in the lives of others. As she begins her journey in the classroom, she is eager to invest her faith, creativity and love for learning in the children in her kindergarten class.

Michelle Prow

First Grade Tutor

Michelle received her elementary education degree at Indiana University. Her teaching experience has been diverse, spanning early and elementary education across Indiana, California, and Missouri in both private Christian and public school settings. Michelle was also a home educator for her youngest children, which included serving as a Classical Conversations Essentials tutor.

She is active in her small church in Nineveh, where she volunteers as the children’s director and enjoys singing with the worship team. She and her husband, Jon are proud parents of five and are nearly empty nesters.

In her free time, she enjoys traveling, discovering new restaurants, embarking on adventures, and spending time with family and friends. She is also a dog lover—Rosie Cotton and Arwen (aka Rosie and Wenni) bring extra joy to her life!

Amy Ottney

Second Grade Tutor

Amy is joining the ILA team with many years of experience in the classroom and a heart full of Jesus’s joy!

Graduating from ISU, she taught 2nd grade for two years in inner city St. Louis. She then moved back home, married her high school sweetheart, Steven, and immediately began their family life- they have three wonderful (now adult) children! Over those years, Amy spent time teaching in both Clark Pleasant and Center Grove School Districts.

Amy and her family attend and serve at Mount Pleasant Christian Church and Impact Center.

She is excited to speak God’s name freely each day IN class with her students and give Him all the glory!

Amanda Rose

Second Grade Tutor

Amanda is married to her husband, Sid, and together they have three wonderful daughters: Kennedy, Reagan, and Quincy. She holds degrees in Business Management, Elementary Education, and Administration, along with a Literacy Endorsement. Amanda brings several years of experience in both public and private school settings and has a passion for helping children develop strong character, a love of learning, and a heart for Christ. She believes that ILA offers families a unique opportunity to partner in their children's education while fostering a strong foundation of faith and character.

This will be Amanda's first year as a 2nd Grade Tutor at Indiana Leadership Academy. She feels honored to shine Christ's light in the classroom, build meaningful relationships with students and families, and help children discover their God-given gifts. Outside of the classroom, Amanda enjoys spending time with her family, traveling, and cheering on her favorite sports teams. She can't wait to meet her students and families this coming year!

Elodie Locoh-Donou

Third Grade Tutor

Elodie has a heart for encouragement and a passion for teaching. She is dedicated to equipping children with the tools to discover their own potential and thrive in their God-given gifts. Elodie holds a degree in Financial Economics from the University of Maryland, Baltimore County, and brings a richly varied background to her teaching role — from her work as a Financial Analyst in investment banking and healthcare, to home educating her own children using Montessori principles.

Elodie's calling is to invest in the next generation and help them write their own story to the glory of God. A native French speaker shaped by a childhood spanning multiple continents, her international upbringing has deepened her commitment to pouring into culture and community wherever she is planted.

Elodie has been married to her husband Samuel for 17 years, and together they are blessed with five wonderful children. Outside the classroom, she loves traveling the world, cooking, dancing, reading, and cherishing time with family and friends.

Katie Anne Lothe

Fourth Grade Tutor

Katie Anne is married to Eshaan. They live in Greenwood. Katie Anne graduated from Butler University with a degree in Organizational Communication & Leadership. She has since been serving with the global mission organization, Cru. She has served with Cru in the Middle East & is now, back in Indianapolis working to share the Gospel with college students. She loves being a part of the ILA family because of the emphasis ILA has on discipling children in order to develop strong servants of God & on the partnership she has with the parents of her students!

Samantha Newell

5th Grade Tutor

Samantha is passionate about teaching and creating a nurturing classroom where young learners can thrive. She holds a degree in Elementary Education from Western Governors University and brings a love and desire for genuine discipleship to her role. Samantha has been married to her wonderful husband, Jonathan, for 11 years and they have three amazing children. Outside of the classroom, she loves spending time with her family, serving at her home church, Grace House, and sharing the love of Jesus through everyday moments. 

 

Mandi Wilkerson

Sixth Grade Tutor

Mandi has been married to her husband, Andrew, for 24 years. They have four children: Abigayle (16), Alyse (15), Arie (12), and Asher (9). Mandi received her elementary education degree at Indiana State University and her master’s degree in education at Indiana Wesleyan University.

Mandi is passionate about teaching, shepherding, mentoring, and nurturing children in their education, but more importantly in their faith. Mandi has 10 years of teaching experience in public school and 11 years of experience homeschooling her own children. This will be her second year as a tutor at Indiana Leadership Academy.

In her free time, Mandi loves reading, walking, traveling, and spending time with her family. She and Andrew serve in a youth sports ministry where their children play volleyball. They love attending church together as a family and worshipping Jesus in their home through time together in the Word and in prayer. They are passionate about raising their children to know and love the Lord and teaching them the beauty and fruit of abiding in their Savior.

Mandi is very excited to be a tutor and grateful to be a part of the ILA family again! 

Cindy Bauer

Administrative Assistant

Cindy is privileged to be a wife, mom, and grandma-and above all of those, a Daughter of the King. With an education background and a heart for people, she has been active in the Center Grove community for 30 years and a part of ILA for 4. She loves to spend her time serving, writing and reading.
